Academic Regulations for Bachelor Program Students

The department has specifically formulated academic regulations for the purpose of understanding the rules of Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree.

For undergraduate students, the study time limit is generally four years. After attaining academic excellence in the study years and after fulfilling credit requirements, students can qualify to graduate one semester or even one year earlier. If students do not fulfill the credit requirements in the four years, then they can delay graduation for one semester and up to two years. Students who undertake a double major and who have not fulfilled the credit requirements within the prescribed time limit can defer graduation for one more semester or one more year.

Students must fulfill the following conditions in order to get a Bachelor degree.

i.  Fulfill 14 credits in the common basic required courses of the school and 17 credits in general education courses, passing all of them.

ii. Fulfill 9 credits in the common required courses of the college, passing all of them.

iii.  Fulfill 21 credits in the basic required courses of the department, 31 credits in the professional required courses of the department, and at least 21 credits in professional elective courses, passing all of them.

iv.  Undergraduate students may not repeat general education courses that are similar to the professional courses of the department.

v. Fulfill 135 course credits, passing all of them within the study years.

vi.  Students who graduate from five-year secondary education programs have to increase their total course credits by 18, including 9 credits in core general education courses ("Humanities", "Social Sciences", "Natural Sciences", and "Specialty General Education") and 9 credits in the department’s professional elective courses.

Undergraduate students should fulfill credit requirements in the study years. They also need to pass the advance level of English graduation proficiency. Those who fail the test must follow "Rules Governing English Graduation Examinations For Undergraduate Students."

All other matters not covered herein shall be governed by the applicable regulations of National Chi-Nan University.

These regulations have been implemented after being passed by the Departmental Affairs Meeting and the College Affairs Meeting, and after having been presented at the Academic Affairs Meeting.
